Duties of the deputy director for academic affairs

The deputy director of educational affairs directs the activities of the institute in the field of education and training based on the Law "On Education" and the "National Personnel Training Program" and  coordinates.

 Duties of the deputy director for educational affairs include:

  •  Organization of the implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees and orders of the President, decisions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers in the field of education and personnel training;
  •  organization of educational, scientific, financial and moral-educational work based on state educational standards and training of qualified personnel;
  •  ensure that all deans and departments, heads of departments and professors are fully aware of the set of requirements for the content of knowledge and the level of training in accordance with state educational standards and qualification requirements;
  •  organizing the implementation of the orders, orders and instructions of the higher authorities, the decisions of the Scientific Council of the institute and the director's orders on issues related to educational processes;
  •  study the development trends of the educational system of advanced countries, methods and tools for the implementation of the tasks specified in the Law "On Education", "National Program of Personnel Training" and other educational laws  development and ensuring their implementation;
  •  organization of the introduction of advanced forms of teaching, including distance learning, new pedagogical and information and communication technologies and their effective use in the educational process;
  •  preparation of proposals in the field of activity and organization of work;
  •  coordinating, organizing and controlling the work of departments and dean's offices that provide the educational process;
  •  approving work plans of departments, faculties and departments and monitoring their implementation;
  •  to improve the quality of the lessons, to control and ensure the fulfillment of personal plans of professors and teachers;
  •  organization of educational and scientific conferences, management of branch Scientific and Methodological Council and pedagogical skill improvement, generalization of advanced methodological experiences;
  •  the process of preparation and publication of educational-methodical and scientific work materials, including journals and collections of scientific works, by the employees of the Higher Education Institution, as well as educational-methodical and scientific activities in all areas of educational and scientific activity of the Higher Education Institution  general management of replenishment of the library fund with periodicals;
  •  managing and assisting the processes of searching for, selecting, and working with talented young people, managing the process of preparing prestigious scholarship winners of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Navoi, Beruniy, Ulugbek, Zulfiya and others from among students and interns-researchers-seekers;
  •  development of proposals for the staffing of professors and teachers and staff supporting educational work, organization of providing departments and departments with qualified personnel;
  • recruitment for vacant positions on the basis of competition, preparation of proposals for recruitment of interns-researchers and masters, development and implementation of plans for improvement and qualification of professors and teachers;
  •  organization and control of educational and scientific-methodical activities of departments, faculties, departments that provide the educational process;
  •  development and approval of the educational process schedule for all forms of education.  In particular, development of science programs and working curricula, curricula and working curricula, approval in the prescribed manner and control of their implementation;
  •  improving the quality of the educational process in the field of agriculture and water management by introducing new pedagogy and information and communication technologies, using modern educational and methodical literature, equipping their information resource centers with modern electronic library systems;
  •  conducting contests for the best graduation thesis, the best master's thesis and the best lecture at the student scientific conference at the institute;
  •  in accordance with the requirements of modernization and diversification of the agricultural and water economy sectors, to improve and approve the educational staff of higher education institutions in the field of agriculture and water economy, to improve and approve their retraining programs;
  •  drawing up a schedule of the educational process, taking into account the conduct of production and educational practices, control and analysis of the results;
  •  organization and management of the Institute's Scientific and Methodological Council;
  •  supervising the work of state examinations, graduation qualification works and master's dissertation works, and commissions for the distribution of young professionals to workplaces;
  •  organizing the opening of new educational directions and specialties in the preparation of bachelor's and master's degrees in faculties and departments, training of specialist personnel for specific purposes according to the order of enterprises and organizations.
  •  development of issues of efficient use of classrooms, improvement of technical equipment of auditoriums and laboratories;
  •  to take action against employees who violated executive discipline, to prepare proposals to terminate the contract with them;
  •  preparing proposals for the establishment of faculties and departments in cooperation with similar higher education institutions of foreign countries in order to improve the content of education and ensure the training of specialists based on international requirements;
  •  conducting annual activity reports of departments, faculties and departments, analyzing and drawing conclusions, evaluating the educational and methodological activities of professors and teachers in modern ways;
  •  to implement permanent cooperation with higher education institutions in the educational and methodological direction, to ensure the active participation of professors and teachers in conferences, seminars, to work in cooperation with local authorities;
  •  determine the annual rating of the higher education institution, analyze it, and carry out activities related to the improvement of the activity;
  •  active participation in regular internal attestation of the higher education institution, preparation for external attestation and transfer;
