Activities of the educational and methodological department

By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 437 on May 28, 2019, the Karshi branch of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers was established. On September 4, 2019, the "Educational-Methodological" department started its activity within the branch.

By the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 10, 2021 "On measures to fundamentally improve the system of training engineers for economic sectors based on innovation and digitization" PQ-42 Karshi Branch of "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” was established to “ Karshi Institute of Irrigation and Agrotechnologies.

The educational and methodical department is a structural department of the institute and operates based on the Higher Education Regulations approved by the order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The activity of the educational and methodological department is based on the orders and instructions of the director of the institute.

The educational and methodical department performs the following activities:

• manages the educational work of the institute, and organizes the educational process by the educational plans and programs established by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
• works on improving educational plans and programs by the requirements of the time;
• establishes educational goals that are reflected in the curriculum of faculties;
• controls the assessment of modern assessment methods, including the written method of work based on assessment, orally, through tests, based on the requirements of the current regulations of the level of knowledge and qualifications of students.
• Based on the results of this control, the study introduces clarifications to methodological plans, determines the forms of individual work with students;
• supervises the composition of the professors and teachers of the Institute and the implementation of their curricula and loadings;
• Sets the curriculum for part-time teachers and support teachers;
• studies and summarizes modern and innovative experiences of professors and teachers;
• inspects the organization of the educational process at the faculties, and brings it to the attention of the deans to eliminate the shortcomings identified by the control results;
• organizes the development of new qualification requirements and training plans;
• makes a time-table of the educational process and organizes the development of educational plans;
• organizes the drawing up of the training table and provides methodical guidance on their drawing up;
• analyzes the teaching hours of the teachers at the institute and suggests how to distribute them among faculties;
• Distributes the funds for educational auditoriums to different faculties;
• conducts current dispatching control of training sessions;
• organizes a database of information about the professors and teachers;
• Based on the rules approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the department generally manages student internships and supervises the implementation of internship plans;
• studies the work of departments and summarizes their experiences. It introduces the feasibility of the activities of the departments and proposals for opening new departments.

Performs the following tasks in the HEMIS information system:

• supervises the placement of qualified professors who have passed the selection process in the HEMIS system.;
• controls the correct formation of student orders in the HEMIS system;
• provides for the inclusion of subjects in the approved curriculum in the HEMIS system
• Controls educational plans, timetables, control schedules, and evaluation system registration types, and sets the list of exams for the educational process.
• implements the formation of the infrastructure of the institute into the HEMIS system;

In connection with the transfer of personnel training to the credit system, from May 1, 2023, the credit education system management sector was created as part of the educational and methodological department.

The tasks of the education credit system management sector are as follows:

• using the advanced experiences and recommendations of developed countries in the field of information and communication technologies;
• controls the production of quality curricula and teaching materials to improve the quality of education by providing qualified professors and teachers of the Institute;
• Expansion of exchange programs of students, professors and researchers with foreign higher education institutions;
• Creating a competitive environment that helps to increase the potential of pedagogic personnel by mastering modern educational technologies and effective forms of organization of educational processes;
• To make it possible for students to create an educational program independently and maintain transparency in their knowledge assessment.
